Shein: Some Items That Are Worth Buying

AND TIPS ON HOW TO CHOOSE BETTER PIECES

I finally got around to placing another Shein order and this time I’m more satisfied with what I received. Before I share the items, there were certain things I took into consideration when ordering this time that I didn’t the first and it definitely made a difference. Here are some tips that helped me on purchasing “better.”

Tips: So far I found the #1 thing wrong with Shein’s clothing is the material. Most of it is made of thin 100% polyester. I found that the pieces that had a significant cotton content to them were better in quality and feel.

If you are going for an item that is 100% polyester, because the material could be so thin that it is see through, to play it safe I found darker colors were a better option.

(These tips mostly apply to dresses, skirts, kimonos and blouses as those are the items I have purchased)

Cami Top & Ruffle Hem Skirt Set

This is one of those sets made of thin 100% polyester material. However, because it’s a dark color it’s not see-through. Overall, this is a cute set. I like the print and the fit. The only con is I wish the top had adjustable straps. This fits TTS. I’m wearing a size small. Shop.

White Kimono

This is a lightweight kimono made of 95% cotton. It is see-through, but it’s a kimono and it’s perfect for throwing over shorts and a cami or a swimsuit. The crochet detail is a nice touch and the length is good. I recommend sizing up one on this one. I apologize for showing this wrinkled, but see down below for a better look when styled! Shop.

Blue Kimono

Can you tell that I love kimonos, lol?! This one also has a good feel to it and that’s due to the 100% rayon material. The color is vibrant and the length is perfect. This fits TTS. I’m wearing a size small. Shop.

Floral Blouse & Skirt Set

This was my absolute favorite of the entire order. It’s pretty well made. This had a material content of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This set is not as thin as a lot of their other dresses or sets. The skirt is even lined. Overall, I think this is a gorgeous set with the print and the style. Love the sleeves and fit. I’m wearing a small. The skirt and top also looks great when styled separately with other pieces as shown below. Shop.

Strappy Sandals

This is my second pair of Shein sandals and I’m not disappointed. These are stylish and comfy. I love that it can be worn two ways, as a slide and as a sling back. I purchased my true size. Shop.
