KEEP OR RETURN
We’ve all heard of Shein and just by glancing at their site, we can all agree that they do have some pretty cute things. So, I definitely had to check them out. I’ve ordered 2 items prior to this order from them, but it wasn’t enough for me to decide if I liked their clothing or not. This time I ordered a few more things. Since warmer weather is coming, this order consisted of mostly floral tops and two piece matching sets. Below I’ve reviewed each item. I included pictures of the Shein model (if available) and myself, to compare and close ups of the material.
Before I get into the reviews, I know the main question is, is Shein worth it? I’ll let you decide, but here are my thoughts based on the items I ordered
- You have to give and take. The items are inexpensive, hence don’t expect high quality, although some are worse than others.
- For the most part, the clothing were TTS and fits well.
- They offer a wide variety of styles, trendy, cute and unique clothing.

Allover Floral Shirred Frill Top With Skirt
This outfit has so much potential, if they had used a different material. This material is lackluster in color, thin and as you can see in the last picture, see through. I also didn’t like that there was no hole in the skirt to bring the string through to wrap around. Lastly, the back of the skirt was very staticky and kept clinging to my leg. Other than that, the outfit fits good and is TTS. I’m wearing size small.
Ditsy Floral Wrap Knot Crop Top & Skirt
This outfit is also made with a thin material. However, it’s not see through and lackluster like the previous. I would actually consider keeping this one, but the top is cut low and since the material is so thin I cannot use a safety pin because there is no way to hide it. Otherwise the outfit fits good and also runs TTS. I’m wearing size small.
Striped Tie Back Cami Top & Belted Pants
So basically, it seems all the outfits I ordered are made with the same thin material, which on the positive side would be great on warmer days. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the top is a weird, loose fit and I didn’t like the V neck up that high. This is just personal preference. Otherwise, the pants fit fine. I’m wearing size small.
SHEIN Floral Print Open-Shoulder Cami Top
I did not like this top. It’s thin, see through and lackluster in color. It did fit TTS. I’m wearing size small.
SHEIN Lantern Sleeve Self Buckle Belted Top
Do I even have to say anything about this top? I don’t know what this material is, but it’s horrible. The color is lackluster and even if I sized down, it would still look terrible. I’m wearing size small.
Allover Floral Print Knot Side Wrap Blouse
The colors are absolutely beautiful on this top, but there is a but. Just from viewing it on the model I knew I wouldn’t like the low cut so I did size up to a medium. However, from moving around it still ends up not being enough coverage. Because the top is a thin material, I cannot safety pin it without the pin showing and I don’t like that. It is a thin material, but not sheer.
SHEIN BASICS Double Circle Buckle Belt
This belt could have almost been perfect. It’s well made, but what’s the stitching by the holes? On this item there is a no return policy, but thankfully I purchased it for under $3.
These slides are a steal and worth the price. They fit TTS. I ordered a size 6.5.
Overall, I was disappointed in this order because I practically have to return everything. As far as blouses and these 2pc sets go, when ordering from Shein I would expect the same type of material. These were polyester and the best way I can describe it is it’s very thin, no stretch to it and has a slight silky feel. I’m still unsure if I will be placing another order, maybe once more with a few other items to get an idea of the quality of other types of clothing. I’ll definitely want to check out their other sandals and will stay away from anything with a wrap top for the simple fact I won’t be able to safety pin it if it’s cut too low. Eventually, if I find that I am more unimpressed than impressed then I will not order again. I hope you found this review helpful.
