Say NO to Bad Hair With These 3 Hair Masks

AND YES TO GOOD HAIR

Soft, shiny, hydrated, healthy……HAIR! I’m sure that’s all of our hair goals. Am I right? If you’ve followed me on Instagram then you’ve probably heard me say I think my hair is my best feature and with that it’s important to me to take good care of it to have it looking as healthy as possible. It’s also important to me to use gentle products and nothing harsh especially since dealing with postpartum hair loss. Today I’m sharing three hair masks that I am currently using and loving for my hair. I’ve noticed a major difference in dryness, the amount of split ends, softness, frizz and sheen. Overall, I’ve noticed healthier hair.

Shea Moisture Coconut Oil

Okay, so technically this is not a hair mask, but it can be used as a hair mask. Coconut oil is full of fatty acids and vitamins which nourish your hair. Benefits of coconut oil include strengthening hair, preventing split ends and moisturizing. Prior to washing my hair, I use my hands to rub some of this all over my hair focusing on the midsection of my hair to the ends and going in more lightly on the hair closer to my scalp and then put my hair in a bun. I try to keep this in as long as possible, usually a couple of hours, but even at least half an hour would be beneficial. I wouldn’t recommend using overnight because it is an oil and it will get all over your pillow. I use this at least once a week.

Tip: If coconut oil is not in an opaque container, store away from light.

You can use any brand of coconut oil, but I just happen to use this one. This one container last months! Here are a few retailers you can find this particular one. Select the retailer to be directed to the website.

This hair mask consists of several oils, vitamins and a special formulated argan oil that nourish hair. This hair mask moisturizes, reduces frizz and strengthens hair. I absolutely love that it adds an amazing sheen to your hair. My dad even complimented me on the sheen! It’s very lightweight and does not weigh your hair down. I use this on damp hair after I have washed it. I flip my hair upside down and spray it in. I use this whenever I wash my hair. If you wanted to start with one product from this list, I recommend this one.

The two pictures below are the results after using these products and letting my hair air dry. For the purposes of this and to show the true effectiveness of the products, other than a shampoo to wash the coconut oil out of my hair, I used only these products.

Overall, these are all great effective hair masks. To good hair days!
